A Study on Behavior Model and Optimization of Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy of Drivers / Pei Jia Pok(Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), Hwasoo Yeo(Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology)

 

This study models and simulates the dynamic interactions between Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCSs) within a competitive market environment. The primary objective is to optimize utility for both EV users and EVCS operators through adaptive learning and dynamic pricing strategies. By integrating the technical parameters of charging technologies with the behavioral patterns of EV users and EVCS operators, a comprehensive model is developed. This model simulates the competition among EVs for charging spots, among EVCSs for customers, and the interactions between EVs and EVCSs. The integration of renewable energy sources further enhances the sustainability and competitiveness of the charging infrastructure. The simulation introduces random variability to mimic real-world conditions, ensuring robust handling of uncertainties. The results provide valuable insights into optimal infrastructure investment, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency, contributing to the broader understanding of market dynamics in the electric vehicle charging ecosystem. This research supports the development of more efficient, sustainable, and user-friendly charging networks, promoting greater adoption of electric vehicles and achieving long-term sustainability goals.
